I didn’t know that Hummingbirds molt. Apparently, they molt before the end of the Summer. I’ve just never seen this before.
A few days ago I took some photos out the kitchen window of a Hummingbird that I thought looked unusual. I didn’t download them until today, and this is what I found… A male Black-chinned Hummingbird molting! A first for me!
