Gulf Fritillary Butterflies

I have a Passion Flower vine in my front flower bed. It attracts Gulf Fritillary butterflies like crazy! They lay their eggs, which hatch in about 4-5 days. The caterpillars start out tiny, but they grow quickly. Once they reach the proper size, they create their chrysalises on the soffit above the plant. Over the next couple of weeks, they wiggle and squirm in there until they are ready to emerge as a new butterfly. It’s so amazing to see!
