New Adventure!

I decided to get in the car and go somewhere new on Tuesday.  I went to Belmar Park.  I heard there have a variety of great birds and other animals and wildflowers just right for photographing.

Unfortunately, I trusted Google Maps to get me there. I was not familiar with the area, but I looked online and it should have taken me 1/2 hour to get there.  Instead, it took an hour and 15 minutes.  I just went round and round in circles until I finally saw a person and got correct directions.  But I digress…

I was not disappointed in the park at all. I will work on identifying the wildflowers when I can find my wildflower ID book!

I planned to go to Cherry Creek State Park after leaving Belmar.  Once again, I trusted Google Maps to get me there.  Wrong decision…  It tried to take me by way of Commerce City.  I ended up going to Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge–a place I love.  But it wasn’t where I wanted to go.  It turned out OK because, as usual, a storm was coming, so I took a few photos and came home.
