Eagles Fishing and More!

Yesterday was a beautiful day!  Sunny and bright with little haze, but cold.  I decided to stop by Barr Lake for a few minutes on the way home from the kids house.  I was hoping to see some eagles.  I was not disappointed.  They have counted 70+ so far at the park, so it makes sense that they would be spread around a bit in all parts of the lake and surrounding trees.

I was correct!  Doesn’t happen often, but I’ll take what I can get.

I love to watch the Eagles fish, and I haven’t had a chance to get any good photos of the action.  Yesterday was no different.  I did get a few shots, but they were from a distance and it’s not so easy to see their catches.  I will keep trying.  One of these days I will be lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.  I need to have the patience to sit still and wait…

Oh yes, and I also saw my friendly Kestrel that followed me around, along with Geese and a couple of Common Goldeneye Ducks.
