Nature Photography

More hot days, but I had a chance to spend some time in the front and back yards this morning before it got scorching.  I noticed that certain bees seem to visit certain flowers.  Each different type seems to gravitate to its favorite plant.  I never noticed this before–I guess because I never really paid much attention.  And then I started to notice how differently they approach the flowers.  Some are dive-bombers, some are speed demons–flying around so fast and stopping for tiny brief moments that are hard to capture with a camera, and some (honey bees) approach flowers slowly and deliberately–treating them with respect.  It’s amazing what you notice when you take the time to stop and watch the flowers!
